Book of the Day "The Stolen Legacy: Greek Philosophy Is Stolen Egyptian Philosophy"

Image
In this classic work, Professor George G. M. James methodically shows how the Greeks first borrowed and then stole the knowledge from the Priests of the African (Egyptian) Mystery System. He shows how the most popular philosophers including Thales, Anaximander, Plato, and Socrates were all treated as men bringing a foreign teaching to Greece. A teaching so foreign that they were persecuted for what they taught. He further shows a comparison of the teachings of the Mysteries to what they taught and with the former predating them the Professor's point is made clear, "In truth there is no such thing as a Greek Philosophy."

Book of the Day "The Man-Not: Race, Class, Genre, and the Dilemmas of Black Manhood"

Image
Tommy J. Curry's provocative audiobook The Man-Not is a justification for black male studies. He posits that we should conceptualize the black male as a victim oppressed by his sex. The Man-Not, therefore, is a corrective of sorts, offering a concept of black males that could challenge the existing accounts of black men and boys desiring the power of white men who oppress them that has been proliferated throughout academic research across disciplines.

Curry argues that black men struggle with death and suicide, as well as abuse and rape, and their genred existence deserves study and theorization. This audiobook offers intellectual, historical, sociological, and psychological evidence that the analysis of patriarchy offered by mainstream feminism (including black feminism) does not yet fully understand the role that homoeroticism, sexual violence, and vulnerability play in the deaths and lives of black males. Curry challenges how we think of and perceive the conditions that actuall…

Christian Woman Intentionally Crashes Car With 4 Kids Inside In Order to Prove God

Image
People often ask me, "What's the harm in believing! Why don't you atheists just let me believe what I believe?'

And the answer is, because beliefs that don't corroborate with reality can cause you to do things and/or make decisions that will result in undesired outcomes.

For example, a Christian woman told her four kids to take off their seat belts and wave their hands in the air before she drove her minivan into a median and intentionally crashed into a tree.

Calicia Williams has now been charged with four counts of attempted murder. The condition of the four kids is currently not being released by authorities.

This is what Williams told her kids just before the crash:
“Detectives spoke with witnesses who advised Williams was traveling at a high rate of speed and told the passengers to take off their seatbelts, stretch out their hands, and stated, ‘The devil can’t hurt you, he only hurts bad people. You have the light of Jesus in you and only Jesus ca…

Amber Guyger Found GUILTY of Murdering Unarmed Black Man is his Home...
What do you think about the verdict???
I agree with the verdict however, I was immensely disappointed when the family thanked Jesus and gave all the credit to God for the verdict being what it was.
If god can make this woman receive a guilty verdict, why couldn't god prevent her from killing Botham Jean in the first place???

Christian Venue Refuses to Marry Mixed Race Couple

Image
According to Boone’s Camp Event Hall in Booneville, Mississippi, Christians aren't allowed to have mixed race marriages.

A woman who works for the venue told LaKambria Welch, on hidden video, that the owners don’t host same-sex weddings… or mixed-race ones... Because they are Christians.

In the video, the woman says:

“First of all, we don’t do gay weddings or mixed race, because of our Christian race—I mean, our Christian belief,” the woman tells Welch in the video.

“Okay, we’re Christians as well,” Welch replies.

After a correspondence on facebook, Welch became suspicious of the church's reasoning.

“The owner took a look at my brother’s fiancĂ©e’s page and wrote her back to say they won’t be able to get married there because of her beliefs,” Welch said. “He told my mom and she contacted the owner through messenger to only get a ‘seen’ with no reply. That’s when I took it upon myself to go get clarification on her beliefs.”

While refusing to do business with customers on acc…

Book of the Day "A.D. 381"

Image
In A.D. 381, Theodosius, emperor of the eastern Roman empire, issued a decree in which all his subjects were required to subscribe to a belief in the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This edict defined Christian orthodoxy and brought to an end a lively and wide-ranging debate about the nature of God; all other interpretations were now declared heretical. It was the first time in a thousand years of Greco-Roman civilization free thought was unambiguously suppressed.

JAY-Z Steps Up to NFL. "We've Passed the Kneeling Stage!"

Image
JAY-Z Steps Up to NFL. "We've Passed the Kneeling  Stage!" Last year, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter boasted about turning down an opportunity to perform on the Super Bowl halftime show.

“I said no to the Super Bowl. You need me, I don’t need you. Every night we in the end zone, tell the NFL we in stadiums, too..."
He wasn't lying!!!

Now, after suffering from low ratings and failing to get Cardi B and Rihanna to take the stage at Super Bowl LIII, the National Football League is turning to Jay for help.

Recently, the NFL announced a long-term partnership with Roc Nation, Jay's sports and entertainment agency, as the league’s official Live Music Entertainment Strategists. The partnership, which goes into effect at the start of the 2019-20 season, will serve to strengthen community through music and the NFL’s Inspire Change initiative.

"This is bigger than music and sports; it’s about unifying America,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell at an intimate press event…

Book of the Day "Deconverted: A Journey from Religion to Reason"

And then Noah loaded the dinosaurs onto the ark...

Assertions like these seem comical until you realize that many Christian parents aren't kidding when they teach them to their children as facts.
Every day, impressionable young minds are conditioned to blindly accept wild biblical tales of floating zoos, talking shrubbery, 900-year-old humans, the undead, curses, levitation, demon/human hybrids and men who obtain super-human strength from the length of their hair.
Allegiance to these teachings is expected, often demanded. Curiosity is muted. Doubt is frowned upon as a sin.
And for those who dare to raise a dissenting hand, the threat of Hell looms ominously. A former religious radio host raised in the cradle of Christianity, Seth Andrews battled his own doubts for many years.
His attempts to reconcile faith and the facts led him to a conclusion previously unthinkable, and this once-true believer ultimately became the founder of one of the most popular atheist commun…

Pastor Confesses he Sexually Abused Underage Girl While Praying and Reciting Bible Verses

Image
Ohio Pastor Cesar Guerrero, considered a prophet by his sheepish followers, has admitted to sexually assaulting an underage girl while praying and reciting Bible verses, saying to the child that she needed to be “cleansed.”

Pastor Guerrero, of 'Mision Cristiana El Calvario Church' in Sharonville, was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of assaulting a 17-year-old girl who came to him to talk about her previous abuse. He ended up admitting that he used his position as a religious leader to further traumatize the girl.

An affidavit stated Guerrero is believed to be a “Prophet of God” and as the pastor of his church, used that information to influence a juvenile into believing she needed to be cleansed from being molested as a child. Guerrero then arranged to meet the juvenile alone in his office.

Guerrero used Bible scripture and prayers to “cleanse” the juvenile while he assaulted her, court documents stated.

Guerrero only admitted what he did after he was ar…

FREE Audio Book of the Day "Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon"

Image
For all the thousands of books that have been written about religion, few until this one have attempted to examine it scientifically: to ask why - and how - it has shaped so many lives so strongly. Is religion a product of blind evolutionary instinct or rational choice? Is it truly the best way to live a moral life?

Ranging through biology, history, and psychology, Daniel C. Dennett charts religion's evolution from "wild" folk belief to "domesticated" dogma. Not an anti-religious creed but an unblinking look beneath the veil of orthodoxy, Breaking the Spell will be read and debated by believers and skeptics alike.

First Black Owned Instant Noodles Brand

Image
Ex-Convict Ron Freeman Launches First Black-Owned Instant  Noodles Brand    While in prison, Ron Freeman learned that most prisoners love to eat ramen noodles and even use it as a currency. So upon his release, Ron decided to launch a company called Mama Pat’s Foods and is now known as the first Black-owned instant noodle brand.

Ron's primary focus was creating a ramen brand that is a lot healthier than what his competitors sell. Ramen is typically high in sodium, and eating too much of it has been linked to high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and hypertension.

So, Ron decided to create an instant ramen product that would be a low-sodium and salt-free alternative, and it has been a huge success!!! To ensure that the packets taste is superb, he uses a secret recipe combination of spices. The available flavors (Lamb Stew, Chicken Fajita, Seafood Gumbo, and Chicken Taco) create a variety of desirable options.

In 1996, Ron was sentenced to three years in Donovan C…
